For 8 years of my life I was blessed enough to go to a two week church camp up in the mountains in Las Vegas, NM, this summer I got the opportunity to go up there and volunteer for three weeks as a pot washer, its actually funny cause people often ask what a pot washers do, and its very fun to get to reply with "we wash pots", cause that's exactly what we do! Here's a few pictures from the three weeks I was up there
"You don't have to you get to" that is the Blue haven motto and the girls in this picture work every single day all day long trying to get all of the meals ready for the campers, God is doing wonderful things up there through these girls!
This river holds a VERY special place in my heart, not only because its at blue haven but because 8 years ago I was Baptized in that yummy looking water!
love these girls! we hiked up a little ways above camp and watched the sun go down, these bunk beds were up there from when the cooks slept out during girls sleep out, the head cooks husband surprised them with beads so that they didn't have to sleep on the ground!
The first two sessions of camp was super dry and thankfully a ton of rain came during 3rd session, it was so awesome to get to watch the storms roll in and then listen to it hit the tin roofs as we sat under them.
although this is just running water this picture is such a blessing! Before it rained, the river was SUPER low and had little or no movement at all, waking up to a full river was such a great thing to hear!
Thats what has happend for the majority of my summer, now I should probably get back to work before I get into trouble!
